At Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, we’re committed to the health of our communities. An important part of that health is ensuring people have clean air to breathe when they visit our campuses.
St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor is committed to tobacco-free living, and is a tobacco-free campus. This policy includes non-tobacco smoking products such as electronic cigarettes. Being a tobacco –free campus means:
- Use of tobacco products on hospital grounds, parking lots and vehicles in parking lots is prohibited.
- Patients and families are informed by staff of our tobacco-free campus policies whenever possible prior to use of services and upon admission.
When visiting any Saint Joseph Mercy Health System campus, you will see signage designating the campus as tobacco-free. Additionally, educational materials on tobacco use and cessation are available, and will be provided upon request.
